Google Book Search

Google Book Search can provide invaluable access to books from many sources. Be aware that some books are only partly viewable and there are important restrictions.  Many books are available through Google's Library Project, a cooperative venture with major university libraries.

  • Fulltext searching is available in books delineated as "Limited Preview" or "Full view".

  • Much of the text of many of the books can be read online.

  • Downloading books and printing is allowed  only for "Fullview" books since copyright protection on these has expired.

  • Almost no text is available in books marked "Snippet View" but YOU CAN REQUEST THE BOOK THROUGH ILL.

  • Sample searches: "Bill T. Jones", "conceptual theater".
