General Information for circulation students and staff

Fines, Fees, and Suspended Borrowing

Overdue Fines:

  • Fines are $1 a day (max $15) for films (VHS/DVD/Media).
  • Lost or Damaged items will incur a $35 processing fee if it is deemed necessary to replace the item.
  • Late Reserve items will incur a fine of $1 each hour (max $25) the material is not returned.
  • Patrons will have their borrowing privileges suspended if they reach the maximum fine amount or their fines reach $100 or more
  • Emails are sent out to those patrons who have fines and/or late items.  This includes Students, Faculty and Staff. In fact, a Courtesy Reminder will be sent 2 days prior to the actual due date to give the patron sufficient time to renew the item(s) before fines begin to accrue.
  • The Library Patron is always responsible for handling payment for lost or overdue material.  Even if the Patron has loaned the item to a friend, who unfortunately misplaces or loses it, the Patron who checked out the item must pay the lost or late fee.
  • You can renew your book online from the Library homepage.
    • Go to the Library Home Page and look at the bottom of the page for Logins. Click on My Library Account.
