To Do List

Before Election Day

• Register to vote
• Decide how you are going to cast your ballot and learn exactly where and how to do it:
  • In person
  • Absentee Voting or voting by mail
  • Early Voting
• Look at a sample ballot to see the candidates and issues on the ballot.
• Become an informed voter by reading objective, well-written, timely information about the candidates and issues on the ballot.

On Election Day

• For in person voting, know where your polling place is and the hours it is open.
• Allow enough time to get to the polls and be able to wait to vote if there are lines and a waiting time at the polls.
• Have proper identification if identification is required.
• Dress comfortably - you might have to wait in line.
• Bring a portable chair if you need to sit while waiting in line.
• Look at a sample ballot to see the candidates and issues on the ballot and how to mark the ballot with your selections.
