Instructors can request Library Instruction and Research Support for their class, in the library or their classroom by filling out the online Library Instruction Request form. Requests must be made at least a week in advance. In-class "visits" are online only for 2020-21.
Faculty are strongly encouraged to assign online materials to allow students the flexibility they need.
Linking to Library Resources - Articles, e-books, and videos from the library's subscription databases are excellent resources for curriculum support. Your library liaison can help you locate appropriate materials to support any course.
Electronic Reserves- Digital Innovations students, under the Instructional Technologist, consult instructors on making course materials available online. This includes using Blackboard, Moodle, and other platforms. Here is a link for faculty to request help with putting course materials online.
Physical/Hard Copy Reserves- The library helps instructors make physical course readings and videos available to students.

Course Reserves Policies and Guidelines
Each Academic Program at Manhattanville has a liaison librarian to support the department. Liaisons develop relationships with faculty to support courses by preparing Library Guides, conducting specialized library instruction for classes, and updating faculty on new library resources.

The library can help faculty with research needs including:
• Research refreshers on new library databases or new searching strategies
• Online searching on specific topics
• Locating hard-to-find materials or out-of-print materials for your courses or your research
• Contact your Academic Program Liaison for more information.
Request a Purchase- The library makes every effort to obtain materials requested and recommended by faculty. Request can be made using the Request a Purchase form or by contacting your liaison librarian.
Library room reservations will be suspended for 2020-21 to maintain necessary social distancing and promote health and safety.
