Date/Time/Location: Monday, Dec. 2nd 12:35-1:35

Description:

In this online session, we'll discuss strategies for modeling critical AI literacy in the classroom and supporting students’ understanding of the limits, benefits, and ethical uses of generative AI (GAI). You’ll learn how integrating GAI literacy into your curriculum can help your students:

  • recognize the ethical complexities of GAI
  • assess GAI-generated content for accuracy, relevance, and bias
  • critically reflect on and transparently acknowledge their use of GAI tools

Whether you choose to permit or prohibit GAI tools, helping your students to develop GAI literacy can promote a culture of academic honesty, leading to productive conversations about the benefits and pitfalls of these evolving technologies.
