Tips for Requesting Books & Articles

Book Requests (temporarily suspended until campus reopens)

  • Before ordering a book through ILL, check the library catalog.
  • Items in the catalog are owned by Manhattanville College Library and cannot be requested.
  • If a book is "available" in QuickSearch+ but not on the shelf, ask us to search for the book. If the book is still missing after our search, we can place an ILL request for you.

Article Requests

  • Before ordering an article through ILL, first look up the periodical title in our Journals list to verify that the article is not available full-text in one of our subscription databases or in paper.
  • Items owned by Manhattanville College Library are not eligible for ILL.
