How to Print

 

The Library offers three machines for copying, printing, and scanning on the first floor. Copies are 5 cents per page for black and white, and 20 cents for color. Color printing is only available on the machine near room LIB-117.  Another machine for copying, printing, and scanning is located on the second floor.  Two more touch-screen scanning workstations are on the first floor.

 

Step-by-step directions follow below.

 

Library PC

The only way to print in color.  All popular file formats accepted.

  1. Display your document and select Print from the file menu.
  2. If you need color, you must adjust print options before clicking Print. 
  3. For destination, select "Papercut".
  4. Wait until the dialog box appears prompting for your ID number.
  5. Click in the dialog and enter your ID number.  There is no password.  Click OK.
  6. A notification appears at the bottom right indicating the job is in a queue.  Your job is now ready to print.
  7. Swipe your ID card (or type your ID number on the touchscreen) at any printer. 
  8. Color jobs must be released at the color printer next to room LIB-117.
  9. Click the "Print Release" button.
  10. Select your job and click "Print".

By Email

The only way to print from a phone or laptop.  Black and white PDF and JPG files only.

  1. Download your document from wherever it originates, or save it to the computer's desktop.
  2. Open your email in Microsoft Office 365. (www.office.com)
  3. Compose a new message.
  4. Attach your document to the message (PDF and JPG files only).
  5. In the address line, enter "print@mville.edu".
  6. Hit "Send". (No need to enter text into the body or subject line).
  7. Swipe your ID card (or type your ID number on the touchscreen) at any printer.
  8. Click the "Print Release" button.
  9. Select your job and click "Print".

 

Your ID is pre-loaded with $15 for printing every semester. More can be added at the kiosk by the Writing Center.
